To the mail box, past the messenger of the Gods

Me and my shadow, Ellie. Most days Ellie and I take a run to our mail box out on Hunter Road, still thought of as Gundy Road by locals. She does all the running, of course, 8km all up, there and back.

We are very lucky indeed, both being fans of Mannerism, that our journey takes us past this fabulous bronze statue of Mercury by Giambologna. Who’d have thought the messenger of the Gods would visit Gundy? I wish he’d put something in our letter box…
